A Special Day to Capture Memories You’ll Hold Onto for a Lifetime

Saturday 27th September

🐾 Charity Dog Portrait Sessions -Supporting St Giles Animal Welfare 🐾

Life moves so quickly, and our time with our dogs is never quite long enough. It’s natural to worry about whether you’re making the most of every precious day and to want something tangible that reflects the love and joy they bring into your life.

This charity photoshoot isn’t just about capturing a beautiful portrait of your dog — it’s about celebrating the bond you share and creating a keepsake you’ll treasure forever. At the same time, it’s also a chance to give back to dogs who aren’t as lucky to have a loving home yet.

We’re proud to be fundraising for St Giles Animal Welfare, a local not-for-profit dedicated to rescuing, rehabilitating, and rehoming animals in need. Every animal deserves their second chance at “happily ever after,” and St Giles works tirelessly to make that possible.

By taking part, you’re not only honouring your own dog’s story but helping another animal begin theirs.

Hello

I'm Susanne

Dogs have always held a special place in my heart, and I’m now the proud owner of Gus — my goofy, loveable chocolate Labrador who brightens every single day. I know firsthand how deeply our dogs weave themselves into our lives, becoming not just pets, but family.

That’s why this event means so much to me. It brings together two things I care about deeply: celebrating the bond we share with our dogs, and supporting animals who need a second chance.

By booking a session, you’re doing two incredible things at once:

✨ Helping vulnerable animals find safety, care, and love through the amazing work of St Giles Animal Welfare.

✨ Creating a portrait of your best friend — one that captures who they truly are, and becomes a keepsake you’ll treasure forever.

FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

We know you may have some questions! Here are the most frequently asked questions we hear from clients while booking their Session!

Where is the photoshoot taking place?

The charity portrait sessions will be held at

Studio Susanne Photography,
Knoll View,
Warlow, Highbridge,
Somerset, TA9 4RA

Saturday 27th September between 10am and 3pm.

Once you book, you’ll receive full details and directions.

How long is each session?

Each slot is 15 minutes, which is the perfect amount of time to capture a variety of portraits while keeping things stress-free for your dog.

Is this for more than one dog?

These sessions are designed for one dog per slot, as time is limited. If you have more than one dog, you’re welcome to book additional sessions so each gets their moment to shine.

How much does it cost?

The session fee is £30. This includes your 15-minute session, one 8x10” print, and a £20 donation to St Giles Animal Welfare.

What’s included?

You’ll receive an online gallery of images from your session. From there, you’ll pick your favourite to be professionally printed as an 8x10” keepsake. Extra prints and products will also be available to purchase if you’d like more.

My dog is very lively / shy / won’t sit still — is that a problem?

Not at all! I’ve worked with all types of dogs — from bouncy puppies to more nervous companions. My sessions are relaxed and tailored to each dog’s personality, with plenty of patience (and treats!) to make sure they feel comfortable.

Can I be in the photos too?

This special charity event is focused on dog-only portraits. If you’d love portraits of you and your dog together, I also offer full sessions — just ask me for details!

Is this suitable for puppies?

It depends on their age and confidence. Very young puppies usually need more time to settle in and to ensure their experience is positive, so I wouldn’t recommend this 15-minute session for them. Older puppies who’ve had plenty of socialisation and are already confident in themselves will do really well. If you have a very young puppy, I’d be happy to chat about booking a longer, more tailored session when they’re ready.
